I grew up in Monterey, CA, before moving to El Dorado Hills with my mom and brother after my parents divorced. That transition, though challenging, was pivotal in shaping who I am today.


Becoming a father has been the most rewarding part of my life. My first son, Philip Jr., now 15, and my youngest, Hunter, born five years ago, have filled my life with purpose and pride. My wife, Lisa, and I share a unique journey—we were high school sweethearts who reconnected after each going through earlier marriages. Eleven years ago, we rebuilt our lives together, and six years ago, we tied the knot.


Seven years ago, we settled in Orangevale, where we’re raising our boys alongside our two dogs, Jack and Lucy. I’m a dog lover, though I steer clear of spiders and dishes! I enjoy fishing, baseball, football, and hiking, and while camping has taken a back seat, trips to Capitola’s beaches are still a favorite.


Looking ahead, Lisa and I are excited to expand our horizons with Matt’s help as we work toward growing our family’s future. Every step of this journey has been filled with lessons, challenges, and gratitude, shaping the person I’ve become today.


WHO IS PHILIP

  • The Why I do what I do

    •Middle school was a tough time for me. I was bullied and, at first, felt powerless to do anything about it. But that changed when I realized I needed to set an example for my little brother. I decided to stand up for myself, and in doing so, I discovered a passion for protecting those who can’t protect themselves.


    •There was something transformative about watching fear disappear from the faces of kids I helped empower. I wasn’t big or intimidating, but I learned to outsmart bullies with strategy and courage. Running and hiding only provided temporary relief, but standing my ground sent a clear message: the fight wasn’t worth it. That lesson has stayed with me, shaping the way I approach challenges to this day.


    •Interestingly, the same principle applies to security systems. Most criminals weigh risk versus reward, and when the risk of getting caught is too high, they move on. Just as I once used courage and strategy to protect others, I now apply those same lessons to designing systems that deter threats and give people peace of mind.

    

    •Recently, my boss asked me about my long-term plan—what I saw for my future in this career. My answer was simple: this is my plan. I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. This isn’t just a job to me; it’s my career, my passion, and my purpose. I’m here to stay.


    •I know there are a lot of “alarm guys” out there, but I’m not like the others. For me, going the extra mile is about integrity, not profitability. It’s about doing what’s right, not just what’s easy, and ensuring the people I serve feel safe, valued, and protected. That’s what drives me, and that’s what I’ll continue to do every day.

    My Experience in the Security Industry

    Alarms Systems

    Since installing my first alarm system in 2009, I’ve built extensive knowledge of both hardwired and wireless systems, tailoring solutions for residential and commercial needs.

    Cameras

    I’ve installed hundreds of camera systems over the years, delivering reliable surveillance for homes and businesses alike.

    Access Control

    Though relatively new to this area, I’ve completed several installations and am expanding my expertise with each project.

    Audio/Video

    For over a decade, I’ve handled AV projects ranging from small setups to major installations like the Golden 1 Center.
